Divina Dali Exhibit

Just a few of my absolute favourite watercolors by Salvador Dalí from the Divina Dalí exhibition. There were over a hundred of such paintings at this immersive experience into Dante Alighieri’s poetic masterpiece, The Divine Comedy. This is Dante’s work as interpreted through the lens of Salvador Dalí’s brush. An adventure full of saturated colours and images in Dalí’s poetic reimagination of the three worlds: hell, purgatory and heaven. I was wonderfully lost in these worlds.

You do not need to have read The Divine Comedy to appreciate the artwork. We asked one of the guides (art history and fine arts grad) to provide some insight into a piece and ended up with an in-depth explanation of each piece in that section of the exhibit. We did the same with the remaining two sections. It made the experience that much more enjoyable. I found myself seeing so much more in each piece than I would have at first glance. The exit provides a sensory experience that is simple yet relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit and thus recommend the Divina Dali exhibit.
