GHOST – Toronto 2022

This was our second time seeing the band GHOST live and they did not disappoint. One of the very few bands that both me and my wife like. This show at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto was incredible. I always loved theatrical rock shows. And unlike a KISS concert, GHOST music is complex. Is it pop? Is it metal? Can’t it be both? I was a little late discovering GHOST. It was the video Cirice that did. It’s very Argentoesque, the melody as with all GHOST songs is infectious, and it immediately drew me in. They also won a Grammy for this song. What amazes me about GHOST is not only are they one of the best live bands (second only to Rammstein) imho. but they don’t have a weak song in their catalogue, not one. Their recent album, Impera, is no exception and one song that really stands out for me is, Call me Mr.Sunshine. GHOST plays with satanism with a wink and a nod, very tongue in cheek, which I love. It adds nicely to the lore and theatrics of this band.
