I’m so happy to be back at one of my favorite haunts, The TIFF Bell Lightbox.
It took a new David Cronenberg film and his return to what he does best, body horror. Crimes of the Future is not for the squeamish and bit too much for my wife.
It brought back a lot of Cronenberg themes from his films such as Crash, The Fly, Videodrome, Dead Ringers and eXistenZ. This film is a Cronenberg greatest hits package, and I loved every minute of it.
As I walked out of the theatre, I noticed display cases showing artifacts from all these films, so this perfectly curated the film today. I’m so happy to see Cronenberg back in the genre the created.
