Goaltending legends

When I was a young goalie there was no better than Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak. However, the greatest goalie of all time, statistically, was Terry Sawchuk. As you can see, he didn’t wear a mask much. In my 12 years playing goal, I only wore two numbers 20 (Tretiak) and 30 (Sawchuk).

On this day in 1970 Terry Sawchuk plays in his final game. It is his 445th career win and 103rd career shutout, both NHL records at the time.
