Priest and Peppers

Home » Priest and Peppers

Yes, pepper plants. Some have the potential to hurt you very badly. Otherwise it wouldn’t be all that sinister, right?

I started softly with Jalapeños, moved a little further up the scale with Serranos, and then went straight into munitions-grade territory with Naga Jolokia — better known as Ghost Peppers. From there, things only got hotter.

This little experiment became Priest and Peppers: growing increasingly dangerous peppers to a soundtrack of Judas Priest. Why the fuck not? If anything can accelerate plant growth, surely it’s Rob Halford‘s voice.

First Harvest: Carl

First harvest of the pepper plants. Weighing in at a staggering 11.2 grams, a jalapeño that I fondly named Carl. I now wish I hadn’t named him, because I’m about to throw him into my salad.
