I have good memories of waking up early Sunday morning to watch Mexican wrestling films (Lucha Libre). I loved these films, still do. Santo was the premiere luchadores at the time. Since I was well into horror genre at the time, films like Santo vs. the Zombies, Santo vs. The Vampire Women and Santo and Blue Demon vs. the Monsters certainly drew me in. It was the latter films and the introduction of Santo’s sidekick, Blue Demon that took it next level. That’s me wearing a Blue Demon mask with pride.
