What would my vacation be without a purchase of something dark and scary? I picked these handmade clay Screaming Aztec Death and Jaguar whistles near the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. To say the sound that comes out of these is horrifying is an understatement. Give it a listen and judge for yourself. Sleep well.

I saw the tag on one of these little horrors and enlarged it:
ADVERTENCIA — MUY PELIGROSO
No apto para uso en ascensores!
It seems to translate as:
“WARNING — VERY DANGEROUS
Not for use in elevators!”
Aren’t they awesome?
That may depend on which side you happen to be.
