It’s rare that my wife and I like the same music. We both like Neil Young and Nick Cave but what else?
Along comes a Swedish band called Ghost. Melodic pop with dark metal riffs does the band a bit of a disservice when describing them, they are so much more. However, it is this essence that explains why my wife and I both enjoy their music. I’ve always had a fondness for theatrical rock n’ roll shows and Ghost sure delivers the goods. We saw a pre-covid show at a smaller Toronto venue in late 2019. As I described to friend, a Ghost show is best delivered in a venue too small for them. It enhances the spectacle. Check out the video I shot below to see what I mean. Once of the best live shows either of us have experienced in recent years. So, it was no wonder that when tickets went on sale for their current 2022 tour, my wife threw her credit card on the table with excitement.
