Still my favorite horror film of all time. Growing up in North Oakville we lived very close to the 5-Drive-in. We would ride our bikes there, hop over the fence and sneak in. On one occasion, I was late getting there and hopped over the wrong fence to meet my friends (I would argue now, it was the right fence). Anyway, the film was playing The Exorcist. I was already into horror films, but I had never seen anything like this. I sat at the back, in between two vans in a cold sweat throughout. Too terrified to move. It was the most intense film experience I’ve ever had. It was sublime.
