Ottawa is Canada’s capital, a city where grand government buildings and national museums sit alongside the Rideau Canal, the Ottawa River and neighbourhoods that feel surprisingly relaxed for the centre of Canadian politics.
Parliament Hill naturally dominates the centre of the city, but there’s much more to Ottawa than Parliament. The ByWard Market, historic architecture, museums and waterfront make it an interesting city to explore on foot.
