Barcelona
Barcelona is a city with a personality all its own. The mix of old neighbourhoods, broad avenues, Mediterranean atmosphere and some of the most wonderfully strange architecture anywhere in Europe makes it an incredible place just to wander around with a camera.
Antoni Gaudí’s influence is impossible to miss. His colourful, organic and occasionally downright bizarre approach to architecture has become inseparable from the look of Barcelona. Even surrounded by centuries of history, his buildings manage to look like they belong to some completely different world.
Beyond the architecture, Barcelona had that wonderful combination of history, street life, food and sheer visual weirdness that makes a city fun to explore. There always seemed to be something interesting around the next corner.
