Lisbon
Lisbon is a city built for wandering — although those hills will make you work for it. Steep streets, tiled buildings, old neighbourhoods and viewpoints over the red rooftops and Tagus River give the city a character that’s unmistakably Portuguese.
The historic trams winding through impossibly narrow streets are almost as much a part of Lisbon as the architecture itself. Add the waterfront, colourful azulejo tiles and layers of history and there seems to be something worth photographing around every corner.
