Amsterdam
Amsterdam is one of those cities that seems designed to be explored on foot — or, if you’re brave enough, by bicycle. Canals, narrow streets, bridges and those wonderfully crooked old buildings give the city a look and atmosphere that’s instantly recognizable.
There’s an interesting mix here of grand history and everyday city life, with centuries-old canal houses sitting alongside cafés, museums, houseboats and an absolutely staggering number of bicycles. It’s a city with a personality very much its own.
These photographs are from our time exploring Amsterdam and the sights we encountered along the way.
