Shibaozhai – Yangtze River
Shibaozhai is a remarkable historic site on the banks of the Yangtze River in Chongqing, China. Its most distinctive feature is a multi-storey red wooden pavilion built against the steep side of Shibao Mountain, with stairs leading visitors up the rock face to the temple complex above.
We visited Shibaozhai while travelling along the Yangtze River. This gallery collects our photographs of the colourful pavilion, temple complex, surrounding landscape and views across the Yangtze from our visit.
