Tuscany
Tuscany is one of those places that somehow manages to look exactly the way you imagined it would. Rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, medieval hill towns and old stone farmhouses — sometimes the scenery really does look like somebody arranged it specifically for the postcard.
Travelling through the Tuscan countryside was as memorable as visiting the cities themselves. Around practically every bend was another ridiculous view: a hilltop village in the distance, rows of vines disappearing across the landscape or a winding road lined with cypress trees.
Between the scenery, medieval towns, history, food and wine, Tuscany makes a pretty convincing argument for slowing down and staying awhile. It’s very easy to understand why people fall in love with this part of Italy.
