Bruges and Ghent, two of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Surrounded by classical Flemish architecture, our walk through these two cities was mystical. Both cities are relatively close to each other (about 30 minutes by train), making them easily accessible for day trips from Brussels or other parts of Belgium. They each offer a blend of history, art, and scenic beauty, making them popular destinations for tourists seeking a glimpse into Belgium’s rich past and vibrant present. I don’t think I’ve seen so many different brands and types of beer in any of my other travels. We tried local candies called Cuberdons. Cuberdons are traditionally made with gum arabic candy crust with a soft, raspberry-flavored filling. Their color is purple, though more recently differently colored and flavoured variants have been available as well. They were delicious!
