I love licorice! Real licorice, the black stuff. I even love the Nordic coin-shaped and heavily salted variety, very few do.
Denmark is a mecca for black licorice, and I found plenty of my most favorite, Skole-Kridt (aka blackboard chalk). With its crisp menthol-flavoured coating and strong salty liquorice filling, I can’t get enough. I brought plenty back from Denmark, but this is my last bag. The next photo is all the other Scandinavian licorice I sampled while there. Someone had to do it.
