I felt I needed some extra protection on this trip, so I picked up a Golem (I call him Bill) by the cemetery in the Jewish quarter in Prague.
Tucked inside this Golem statue was a note:
At Rudolf II’s time there lived a learned rabbi Jehuda Low ben Bezalel in the Jewish town of Prague. It is said that he made an artificial man of earth and brought him to life with the aid of ,, shem” — a serial filled with secret letters. Golem was appointed a servant in a synagogue. Every Friday, the eve of the Jewish feast day Sabbath hegave him a rest by taking ,,shem” a way from him. Oncehe forgot about it. Golem got enraged and started to ruin everything around. When rabbi managed to get the ,,shem”, turned Golem back to a statue and failed down. Since then sad rabbi never revived him again. Golem was removed to the attic of the synagogue and after sometime he turned into the dust.
